Ms. Echegaray is a senior associate in the Pasadena office of Garrrett & Tully. Ms. Echegaray is admitted to practice in California as well as the Central, Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of the United States District Courts in California. Ms. Echegaray studied Creative Writing and Chemistry (focus on Organic Chemistry) at the undergraduate level and earned her Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 2000. She was an intern for the White House Council on Environmental Quality in 1998, recipient of the Dean’s Scholarship for American University’s Washington Semester program in 1998, and a member of Eta Sigma Phi 1996-1999. Ms. Echegaray taught Chemistry and Biology while volunteering as the State Public Affairs Committee Chair for the Junior League of Daytona Beach prior to entering law school. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Echegaray won CALI awards for the highest grades in National Security Law and Climate Change Law, was a research assistant working for a professor writing an Evidence textbook, interned for the Court of Appeal, and interned for the Federal Aviation Administration. Ms. Echegaray was also awarded the Latina Lawyers Bar Association Bar Exam Scholarship and asked to speak on behalf of all recipients at the organization’s awards dinner in 2010.
Ms. Echegaray’s experience includes general civil litigation, wrongful death, premises liability, government tort claims, and aviation defense litigation.
Ms. Echegaray enjoys music and outdoor activities. She is a Mezzo-Soprano for Artes Vocales, a member of the Southern California Grotto and National Speleological Society, and a former pianist for the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic.
