In California, employers face an ever growing myriad of employment related claims, including sexual harassment, discrimination and wrongful discharge. We regularly advise and represent employers confronted with these types of claims. The firm also represents employers and employees in matters relating to non-competition, executive compensation, trade secrets litigation and employment related torts.
Our goal is to resolve matters in our clients' best interest at the earliest opportunity. Often, this means early preemptive action or mediation aimed at diffusing a situation before a problem ends up in litigation. Where litigation does ensue, we focus our efforts on a cost-effective victory through dismissal or summary judgment. Nonetheless, we approach every case as though it is one that will proceed to trial. Indeed, we believe that our willingness to take matters to trial, if warranted, results in more favorable settlement opportunities for our clients.
We also provide employment counseling, including review of personnel policies and handbooks, advice regarding discipline and termination, training on the prevention and investigation of harassment, and negotiation of separation agreements.
