Our lawyers act as lead appellate counsel or in cooperation with local counsel in all types of appeals, extraordinary writs, and post-trial motions.  We take a practical and effective approach to our appellate practice.  We aggressively examine every appeal and promptly evaluate not only the likelihood of success, but also the costs of pursuing or responding to an appeal and the ramifications of an appeal. 

While our appellate attorneys are skilled advocates with a track record of success, we recognize that the most aggressive, expensive, win-at-all costs appellate strategy may not be the best solution for every client.  We identify the primary objective of our clients, design a solution to fit that objective, and endeavor to implement that solution in the most effective, efficient manner possible.  We work with our clients to analyze the propriety of settlements, as well as the impact the case may have on the industry affected and on existing precedent.  This includes advising clients on the filing of amicus briefs in important cases to modify existing decisional law or make new law in uncharted areas.
