Mr. McKay, as an AV rated attorney, is an experienced real estate, business attorney and litigator. Mr. McKay’s thirty plus years in practice have been concentrated in business and real estate transactions (including sales, leasing and secured financing), title insurance and related litigation. Mr. McKay has represented many title insurance companies in complex workouts of construction projects, including analysis of the insurer’s coverage obligations. His practice also includes defending title insurers against claims for breach of the insurance contract and bad faith. Mr. McKay has litigated numerous actions involving easements, adverse possession, mechanic's liens, tax liens, subdivisions, subordinations, fraud, fraudulent conveyances, insolvency of mortgage brokers, forgeries, mineral rights, boundary disputes, foreclosures, deeds of trust, priorities of competing interests in real property, escrows, sub-escrows, and underwritten title companies.
He has also participated as a speaker in programs involving real estate law and title insurance.
