Raised in Los Angeles, California, Ms. Slater graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. At UCLA, Ms. Slater was a member of several student organizations including the Chi Omega Sorority, Pi Sigma Alpha Honors Society, Student Alumni Association and the 1995 Homecoming Board of Directors. While attending Loyola Law School, Ms. Slater completed an internship in the Legal Affairs department at Fox Broadcasting Company and served as a Certified Law Clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office. Ms. Slater received her Juris Doctor from Loyola in 2001 and was admitted to practice in California and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California that same year.
Ms. Slater's practice areas include business litigation, professional liability, appellate matters, real estate/property and title insurance. She is experienced in all stages of civil litigation and coverage/bad faith defense. She is a member of the State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Pasadena Bar Association.
Ms. Slater enjoys spending time with her dogs, traveling, cooking, theater, dance, movies, tennis, yoga and attending sporting events.
