Ms. Chang graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor degree in political science, with a minor in sociology. Thereafter, Ms. Chang attended Southwestern University School of Law and graduated in May 2001 with a Juris Doctorate degree.
While at Southwestern, Ms. Chang completed an internship at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, and a judicial externship at the United States Bankruptcy Court. At the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Ms. Chang was a certified law clerk. She conducted preliminary hearings as well as evidentiary hearings. At the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California - Ninth Circuit, Ms. Chang externed for the Honorable Barry Russell. At the time, Judge Russell was the chief justice on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. Ms. Chang prepared Bankruptcy Appellate Panel bench memoranda, conducted extensive legal research on bankruptcy appellate issues, and prepared the Judge's daily law and motion calendar.
Ms. Chang is equipped to handle all stages and aspects of civil litigation, which includes pre-trial motion practices, written discovery, deposition, as well as trial. She has obtained favorable judgments for her clients by way of motion for summary judgment and verdict following a jury trial. Ms. Chang has also successfully negotiated favorable settlement for her clients.
